How can I make a payment?

For policies that were initially purchased from Proformance — that's policies beginning with the characters PC, PG, AG, AA, 1AU, or 1HO — there are three ways you can make a payment:

1. Send your payment to the address listed on your invoice. If you have a question, call the telephone number that’s printed on the invoice.

2. Pay your agent. You'll find your agent address and phone number on your policy documents.

3. Pay by phone with a credit card, 24/7, by calling 800.959.9669.

Absolutely! Your agent is authorized to accept payments on our behalf. Payment to your agent is payment to our company.

What happens to my auto policy?

Your auto insurance policy will remain in effect and at time of renewal, it will be renewed by Palisades. Your auto insurance policy will automatically renew with Palisades once you have paid the premium requested by the due date. It will begin with policies effective on or after October, 2008. Approximately thirty-five (35) days prior to your policy renewal date, we will send you a Palisades renewal policy that will include your policy, declaration page (summary of coverage), ID cards and an invoice. All you need to do is make the initial down payment to Palisades to accept coverage.

Will there be a gap between my Proformance auto policy and the new Palisades auto policy where I am not insured?

No, we have made certain that your replacement policy has the same effective date as your existing policy. There will be no lapse in coverage as long as you send in your initial payment to us by the date requested.

Will my auto coverages change?

In every case where a Proformance option is available at Palisades, your renewal will be at your existing policy’s coverage or deductible amounts. However, if Palisades does not offer a particular Proformance option your Palisades renewal will be at the closest coverage equivalent that we offer. You should review your Palisades declaration page and discuss any questions with your agent.

Will I get new auto insurance ID cards?

Yes, your new ID cards will be included with your renewal packet.

When will I get my renewal packet?

Approximately thirty-five (35) days before your policy expiration date we will send you a renewal policy that will include your policy, declaration pages (summary of coverage), ID cards, and your invoice with payment schedule.

When will my first payment be due?

Payment is due on the effective date of your policy. There is a $5.00 to $6.00 installment fee charged with installment payments of 4-pay and 8-pay.

What pay plans do you offer for auto coverage?

Continue to pay your Proformance premium by mail or credit card. Once your policy renews with Palisades, we offer additional ways to pay your bill. These include:

• Automatic Bill Pay or electronic funds transfer (EFT) will deduct premiums directly from your checking or saving account. No fees or service charges are added.
• US Mail:
4-pay or 8-pay plans
• Online banking – if you pay your bill electronically, just add Palisades to your “Payor” list.
• Interactive Voice Response (IVR) – you can pay your bill by telephone anytime, 24/7 by calling 888.725.9004. We also accept Visa and Mastercard.

My policy shows an accident that was not my fault, why are you charging me for this?

Your Palisades policy was rated using claims data we received from Proformance. If you feel your claim information is not accurate, please contact your agent or Palisades Customer Care at 877.PAL.NICE.

What will happen to my Excess policy?

Excess policyholders will be eligible for upgraded personal umbrella coverage provided they complete a questionnaire to meet certain underwriter guidelines. If you have any questions about your excess coverage, please contact your agent.

I currently get a discount for having my homeowners and auto insurance with Proformance. Will I continue to get this discount?

We offer special discounts for safe drivers and homeowners. Palisades will offer a homeowners discount to a named insured that owns, occupies and insures a home in New Jersey. People who rent or do not have a homeowner policy will not receive this discount.

What happens to my homeowner’s policy with Proformance?

We are moving homeowners insurance from a Proformance system to Palisades by mid-year, 2009. High Proformance Policy package that contains both auto and homeowners, will transition by late 2009. Most policyholders will be renewed on a homeowner policy or homeowner package policy with the exception of some coastal and barrier-island policies subject to underwriting review.
